Interesting facts about me

August 29, 2007 I was infected with WNV and life has not been the same. I now understand people that have chronic illnesses. It can be a painful and enlightening journey.

    Hello Jenn,
I know about the brain-thing-foggy, at best. But, my doctor sent me to an Immunologist last week and he diagnosed me with fibromyalgia! I could not believe it. He said the WNV may still be causing some problems. but I had several of the 'trigger points' and the flu-like symptoms and other WNV-type problem could be explained by the fibromyalgia-can you believe it???? I guess I really will be retiring (disability).
But, how was your weekend? you had inquired as to what I will do working at home-I do not know, but I am sure it will NOT be network marketing or stuffing envelopes-what do you do?
    Talk to ya soon-take care,
    Carol

Hello Jennifer!!! So nice to hear from you-I am having serious vertigo this weekend-just like the weekend before I had my first bout of WNV 'flu' that lasted 3 months. I guess I will have to see doctors again,$$$$$$! As too what I do at home, 'not much' at this point. I would like to write some ebooks and do some blogging, but I need to learn how to do this one first. You can teach an old dog new tricks. My attention span isn't what it used to be-but, I will get it eventually. Hope you had a wonderful Saturday-we will survive!!!!!peace...

hey Jennifer, Carol Meinecke here-thanks for the response-I can not believe how much ammo this site gives us to fight on-It Is A Blessing-so, have you heard of any other type 2 diabetics getting WNV???? thanks for the protein tip-I've been trying to eat whole grains and low fat-but I still gained weight(I was normally a very active person)-but, I'll try the protein and yes, I will probably be working from home as well eventually. Oh well, I have always wanted too-maybe this was my shove to get it done---peace!!!!!!!!!!

You are very welcome for the info. I don't know anyone with diabetes and WNV. I also understand about being fit and then gaining 4 inches while resting for 5 months. I am slowly building my strength back. I really have to hold my self down when I feel good or I'll over do it and relapse. I have been good about staying on a pretty level plane. What do you work at home? Have a great night!
